Warm Water On and Off Values

Postby Beardymarrow » Mon May 05, 2014 14:36

Hi,
I have an IVT Greenline HT+ E. The Warm water is set to 51 degrees. Statlink thinks that the On and Off values for GT3x are 50 degrees to 52 degrees, but really they are 50 degrees to 54 degrees. The manual for the Heatpump agrees with this as the warm water hysteresis is 4degrees (not 2 degrees as Statlink thinks).

Can this be corrected in Statlink

Thanks

Beardy

Hi

I think the answer can be found in the StatLink manual which can be downloaded from the Husdata Support menu.

Check the section.
Appendix C, Special considerations for different models of heatpumps

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the suggestion. I had already changed the settings to look at GT3x, not GT3 as per the instructions, and Statlink is already correctly reporting the current hot water temperature of the external tank.

The problem is about the GT3x On and Off Values, which Statlink shows as 50 and 52 degrees, when it is really 50 and 54 degrees. How do I change my Pulse view to display those figures?

Thanks

I'm not quite sure what you mean.

First of all, the Pulse view can be edited by Double clicking on it.
The value that you say is incorrect, is that the ones with ID 55 and 57 (if you look at the table)?

Sorry if I'm not explaining myself clearly.

Yes, I mean the GT3 On and GT3 Off values (ID 55 and ID 57). These are 50 and 52 according to StatLink, but my hot water hysteresis is set to 4 degrees (the default) so they should be 50 and 54 degrees. My hot water switches on at 50 degrees and off at 54 degrees but statlink says that it switches off at 52 degrees (which would mean a hysteresis of only 2 degrees). I can also observe from the GT3x value that 50 and 54 are correct.

ID 56 (GT3 target) is correctly shown as 51 degrees.

Hope this helps.

Hi.

I have now Set.
Menu 2.4 Tempdiff to 4
Menu 2.3 Hot water temp to 51c

Statlink shows.
ID55 = 49c (Start at temp)
ID56 = 51c (Target temp)
ID57 = 53c (Stop at temp)

Hi Peter,
That is what I would expect to see.

On mine, Temp diff is 4c (this is default and not adjustable as I have no Menu 2.4, even in Installer Mode). Hot water temp is 51c
Statlink shows
ID55 = 50c
ID56 = 51c
ID57 = 52c

My graphs of GT3x show that the compressor switches on when the hot water falls below 50c (so the ID55 value in Statlink is correct), and it switches off when the hot water goes above 54c (so the ID57 value is not correct).

If I change the hot water temp to 50.5c, then :-
ID55 = 49.5c
ID56 = 50.5c
ID57 = 51.5c

My system has a Rego 637W Software Version 3.12 on an IVT HT+ E9.

Cheers

Once again, Peter, I owe you my humble apology.

I have entered Factory Mode and found the hot water hysteresis (temp diff) for my pump (Menu 2.4) had been set at 2c. This menu was not available in Customer 2 or I/S mode. I had to go into Factory Mode to find it. I have changed this to 4c now.

StatLink correctly shows the start and stop temps as 50c and 54c (target is set at 52c now).

I don't understand why my heat pump was coming on at 50c and going off at 54c before, when Menu 2.4 was set at 2c, but that is not a StatLink issue.

Thank you for your help. Once again StatLink is right, and I am wrong! :-)

Cheers
